Plans change — and now your booking can too. The 1x Zero change fee is a newly launched feature that allows travellers to change their flight date and time either a one-way or return AirAsia flight without paying a change fee. While travellers will still be responsible for any fare differences, taxes, or other applicable charges, the removal of the change fee effectively builds a layer of flexibility into the booking process that was previously unavailable to most budget-conscious travellers.
The 1x Zero change fee feature is applicable to all AirAsia flight bookings (excluding SNAP and Premium Flex packages) made exclusively on airasia.com or AirAsia MOVE app from 27 April 2026 onwards.
For those needing greater flexibility with their bookings, Easy Cancel is an add-on feature available for travellers to add at the time of booking. This feature allows travellers to cancel flights up to 48 hours before departure for any reason. Users can receive up to 80% refund, including the base fare, taxes and add-ons, with refunds processed within 10 days. It effectively removes the risk of booking in advance during uncertain times.
0% Instalment for SNAP! (Flight+Hotel)
To lower the barrier for bundled flight-and-hotel bookings, AirAsia MOVE has also integrated ‘0% Instalment’ options. This allows users to split their payments into installments at 0% interest for up to 3 or 6 months. The feature applies to bookings with a minimum spend of RM500, is available for selected credit cards, and is applicable for users in Malaysia and Thailand. By removing the need for full upfront payment, it makes travel more accessible while easing financial pressure for holidaymakers.
Online Check-In & Real-Time Flight Status
As the official AirAsia booking platform, AirAsia MOVE offers seamless online check-in for travellers on AirAsia flights, available up to 14 days before departure along with real-time flight status updates. Travellers can generate e-boarding passes, manage bookings and receive instant updates directly within the app, reducing uncertainty and offering peace of mind throughout the journey.
Auto Visa Check (AVC)
For those heading abroad, the Auto Visa Check (AVC) feature aims to eliminate traditional airport bottlenecks. Travellers can verify their visa status in real time during the online check-in window—from 14 days up to one hour before departure. Once verified, an e-boarding pass is issued instantly, allowing passengers to bypass manual document checks at airport counters and head straight to security.
